HammondCare Miranda Recladding
Handed over in 2022, one of our recent Remediation/Recladding jobs completed at the HammondCare Aged Care Facility built in conjunction with Total Constructions.
An complex multi-block remediation of a live occupied Aged Care facility, this project required exceptional stakeholder engagement & management from the Dunrite Linings team. In addition to cooperating with the residents, HammondCare workers and visitors to name a few, we also had to manage our works around extensive gardens, high-voltage powerlines, live roads and a huge range of sunshades, mechanical vents, aluminium louvres, blinds and glass balustrades - all of which were required to be removed and re-instated after removal of the non-compliant ACP panelling, which was replaced with Vitrapanel Prefinished Compressed Fibre Cement.
Working with HammondCare's site management team throughout the remediation process, we managed to identify prior existing water ingress issues and resolve them, providing a beautiful and water-tight façade.
Most works were completed from static scaffolds, which while being less convenient for the residents, does facilitate a faster and safer remediation process, completing more than 2600sqm of remediated façade in just over 4 months.
